He Freeman Freeman in 1636 in Dedham, NORFOLK, MA prob.\super (2765) <fowsrc.htm> \nosupersub NEHG 46:187, Savage Corrections: "Abraham1 Shaw of Dedham. His children all of Weymouth. John2 d. in W. Sept 16, 1704, m. Alice, daughter of Nicholas Phillips and had 11 children . . . Martha2 m. Nicholas Byrum; Nicholas3 of John2 m. Deborah3 of John2 Whitmarsh ab. 1686 and had 11 children; Joseph3 of John 2 m. Judith3 of John2 Whitmarsh and removed to Bridgwater." He signed a will in 1638 in Suffolk Co. MA.\super (2766) <fowsrc.htm> \nosupersub In the abstract of Abraham Shaw's will, he mentions children John and Martha as being infants, another child Marye, a son Joseph. Witnesses are Nicholas Biram and Joseph Shawe. No mention is made of a wife. This abstract is not dated, but Torrey p 664 has him as dying in 1638. He was married to Bridget BEST <d3.htm> on 24 Jun 1616 in Halifax, Yorkshire, Eng.\super (2768) <fowsrc.htm> (2769) <fowsrc.htm>\nosupersub NEHGR 49:64: In a contribution of M F Kinge of Portland, ME, of the records of baptisms by the name of Shawe in Halifax, York, England the deaths of Abraham Shaw's children are noted: Martha born 1623, dies March 31, 1625; John born 1628, dies April 12, 1629. It is further noted here that his wife was Briggit, daughter of Henry Best of Ovenden, baptized:April 9, 1592. She had sister Mary, bapt. Aug. 14, 1586 and brother John, bapt March 10 1587.

In another record: NEHGR 48:346: RK Shaw communicates the Baptisms of Abraham's children, parish of Halifax, Yorkshire, England, saying that Abraham resided in the village of Northowram in Halifax. The record is marriage: Abraham Shawe to Briget Best June 24th 1626.

Baptisms: Joseph, March 14, 1618; Grace,August 15, 1621; Martha December 1st 1623, Maria (Mary), June 18, 1626; John, died young; John, May 23rd, 1630; Martha again Janry 6th, 1632 .

She is noted as daughter of Abraham Shaw of Dedham in NEHGR 1:282

She was married to Nicholas(1) BYRAM <d7.htm> about 1637. Her first child Abigail is married in 1656, probably no less than 16 (making her birth somewhere between 1638 and 1640) Did they marry in England or Weymouth? Children were: Abigail BYRAM <d7.htm>.
